The 5 Major Advantages of Temporary Warehouse Cooling Hire

  1. The supply of specially designed temporary cooling equipment that is constructed and maintained to reliably operate on site. As such, all temporary warehouse cooling hire systems are designed to be highly portable and quick to install.
  2.  Includes equipment that has special features to cool large warehouses; such as AHU’s fitted with high volume fans to enable proper air movement around even the largest spaces. This ensures consistent temperatures throughout, eliminating potential hot spots in dense warehouse areas.
  3. Professional design and installation guarantees successful outcomes. It cant be emphasised enough, when designing and specifying a temporary cooling system, experience counts. Reassuringly, a professional technical team will have successful background in supplying temporary cooling systems.
  4. 24/7 engineering support throughout the duration of the project with qualified engineers on hand at all times to ensure the reliable operation of the equipment. A major advantage of temporary cooling hire for warehouses is that should unforeseen problems arise, systems can be adjusted to resolve any issues.
  5. Access to good stock levels of all auxiliary equipment required, including, ducting, power cabling, fittings, and all the other little things, that if you havn’t got, can delay delivery of a project. A good rental company with experience will have everything available in stock.

How to Successfully Complete Temporary Warehouse Cooling Hire Projects

Successful warehouse cooling projects need careful planning by a company that has the experience and equipment available to respond to emergency situations that customers face. This in many cases involves cooling a warehouse to prevent loss or damage to perishable goods.

To effectively supply temporary cooling hire for warehouses fast you will need to have the best portable equipment available, including;

  • Water chillers are machines that cool water that is passed through them. When used with hosing they form part of a closed cooling loop that includes the air handling units.
  • Air handling units are used internally in the warehouse to cool the air within. To do this they use fans to draw air across a coil within which the chilled water circulates. In this way the air passing across is cooled and moved around the warehouse.
  • Water hosing is used to circulate the chilled water through the system, connecting the water chiller and AHU’s, forming what is known as a cooling loop. For fast installation it should flexible and use quick connectors such as Camloc or Bauer. A major advantage of this type of temporary hosing water system is its flexibility in terms of fast installation and the ability to construct and/or modify large water systems for warehouse cooling projects.
  • Power cabling is obviously required to supply the components. This should be flexible H07 RNF cables with Cform or Powerlock connectors. Quick to install these modular systems may incorporate distribution panels which divide power from a main source to smaller circuits  with switching and circuit protection.

We hold large stocks of all these components along with the know how to install. Please get in touch now for advice with your project.

FAQ'S

Yes, flexible contracts are available for the rental of temporary cooling equipment suitable for cooling warehouses, and in general, are offered with terms from weeks to multiple years for a fixed payment.

Hire services offered include all equipment required, design and installation, making it a simple turnkey solution to mitigate hot conditions that may be effecting heat sensitive products.

Advanced Climate Rentals Ltd specialises in temporary cooling hire for warehouses, offering specialist solutions to the logistics and storage sectors that are experiencing problems with high temperatures in their storage facilities.

If you have a need, including emergencies, its best to get in touch immediately with as much information as possible to help specify equipment and give an indicative price before progressing to a site survey and full quotation.

Generally, to get a temporary cooling solution proposal you would need the following information;

  1. Site location and contact details
  2. Size and specification of the warehouse (including insulation specs if you have)
  3. What you are storing and the temperature holding requirements.
  4. external space available for the location of water chiller plant. Typically, a 200kw chiller will require a minimum open area of 6x4mt.
  5. A suitable power supply. Generally, equipment is 400V three phase, and as an example, a typical 200kw cooling system would require a 200amp supply for the chiller and a 32 amp supply for the internal AHU’s.

Don’t worry if the above sounds daunting- we have the experience to get to your site fast and guide you through to solution.

Not particularly. The general requirements for successful installation are as follows;

  1. Suitable space for the location of the plant. Internal AHU’s will require locating on existing racking or stands supplied. For example, a 200kw cooling system will require the location of three AHU’s with a footprint of 4x 2mt. The external chiller unit will need a clear outside space of 6x 4mt. Although, multiple smaller chillers can be supplied if space is restricted.
  2. A small penetration, or other access point in the building will be required for the installation of the chilled water hosing, typically a 300x 200mm sized hole or other such as a door.
  3. Access to a suitable electrical supply for the temporary power cabling connection.

Advanced Climate Rentals can give further advise with all of the above.

  • Production/ warehouse areas that require a specific temperature and humidity control to operate efficiently.
  • To meet statutory or other requirements for a safe operating environment for staff.

Generally, in a matter of days provided a company with the right experience and stock of equipment is approached to carry out the project.
