  2. Temporary plantroom boiler hire– Whilst not as portable as trailer mounted boilers in terms of delivery to site, temporary plantroom boiler hire is fitted into lifting frame enclosures to allow for safe handling and lifting into inaccessible places.
  3. Containerised boiler plantroom hire– generally larger in size, containerised boilers offer a standard sized structurally sound plant room. They are generally offered in 10 and 20ft variants and can typically accept larger gas and oil-fired boiler plant.

Fuel options available.

  • Kerosine– is a flammable hydrocarbon liquid that is pale in colour and derived from petroleum. Temporary boiler hire commonly uses kerosine as a convenient fuel source that is supplied in portable bunded tanks. With a similar heat output to diesel, it is now preferred due to lower tax rates and costs.
  • Diesel– again, this fuel is a popular choice for temporary boilers and with a similar heat output to kerosine it is also supplied in bunded tanks. However, since the phase out of lower taxed red diesel, there has been a switch away from this fuel for cost reasons.
  • Natural gas– is a gaseous mixture of hydrocarbons—predominantly made up of methane which is supplied in the UK on a mains pipe-line grid. Temporary boilers can be connected to this mains system with pipework extensions.
  • LPG or liquified petroleum gas– is a fuel gas which contains a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases and is supplied in cylinders under pressure in liquid/ vapour form. Because of the logistics and handling of these pressurised tanks, LPG is not commonly used in the temporary boiler industry.
  • Electricity- Emission free at the point of use, this option has been growing in popularity with users conscious of emissions for various reasons. A good safe option if you have the power available.
